For this post let’s go back in time. The team went to Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar for our company outing late last year. The first time I visited the place was back in January 2013 and a lot has improved since then but there are still structures being built until now. The resort gives you a glimpse of the past by rebuilding old Spanish Mansions (some as accommodation) and reliving traditions. Note that each house was dismantled, transported, rebuilt, and restored. HOW AWESOME IS THAT! Kudos to the owner!
Located in Bagac Bataan, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is 3 hours away from Manila by car. Though they offer day tours, if you want the full experience i would recommend you stay the night there. It’s a little bit pricey but it’s worth it! 🙂
Below is a photo of Sanctuario de San Jose, a church that they started to build when I first visited and to my surprise it’s still under construction. I can already imagine how beautiful this place would be as a wedding location.
What to do
- The resort is not fully developed yet but there’s already a lot to see and do. I couldn’t stop taking photos while exploring the place, everything was picture perfect in any angle.
- You can rent a bike to go around the resort. Try riding the jeepney and kalesa too for the full filipino culture experience.
- Swim in the pool or at the beach. The pool is only for in-house (overnight) guests but the beach is open for day trip guests.
Love it! ❤️
